Our Indian Head Massage Course will teach you a specialised massage technique that works on pressure points to stimulate the movement of blood, lymph and oxygen in the upper body. Not only will you learn how to competently perform the treatment, you will also learn the history of this massage medium and the benefits of the treatment, incorporating chakras to restore the body’s natural balance.

Course pre-requisites: Completion of Anatomy and Physiology Questions relative to IHM. (Prior qualification in Anatomy and Physiology will not require the student to complete the Anatomy section)

Indian Head Massage is based on traditional Indian massage techniques. It involves work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face using a variety of massage movements to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation and restore joint mobility.
Head massage revitalises the whole body, rebalancing the energy flow to the body and creating a feeling of peace and well being. An excellent stress buster, both relaxing and uplifting, it is good for clearing the head and easing tense shoulders.
Great for office workers, Indian Head Massage can be done without oil through light clothing, so is perfect for corporate work. Your course involves training to allow you to work in corporate situations. The routine you will learn is based on the Mehta method of Indian head massage, developed by Narendra Mehta who brought the formalised treatment to the West.
Your Tutor has advanced training in Ayurveda and your Day 2 of training will include this additional format of training, allowing your treatment to be fully encompassing for all aspects of this fabulous Holistic Therapy.
For those individuals who already have a IHM Diploma and would like to take the additional Ayurveda Training this can be accommodated as a half day of training. Proof of certification must be shown. The cost for the half day Ayurveda Training is $185 plus HST
